Theme Description

Life for humans was thought to take a turn for the better in 21XX when Dr. Cain began releasing his new breed of robots, the Reploids. A mechanical race that could feel and think on a level comparable with humans directly from start-up and could function similarly. However, problems began when Reploids began behaving irrational, criminal, or just plain crazy, becoming irregular units, or Mavericks. This created the need for the Maverick Hunters, a group led by X and Dr. Cain to attempt to control the growing problem of renegade robots, wether they be inflicted with the virus, renegade, or simply not complying with the wishes of humans. Futuristic cities and mad robots abound in this techno-orientated world.
