In a world much like our own, the Cold War continues. It is perpetuated by hate, and supported by advanced technology ripped from the minds of the mysterious Whispered: Youths whose minds are imprinted with knowledge of the so-called Black Technology, which is capable of achieving feats well beyond the limits of normal human science. The only hope for the world, and for the innocent Whispered, is the advanced mercenary agency Mithril, whose massive technological edge over the rest of the world allows them to keep the mad ambitions of certain parties in check...usually.
