Theme Description

An idyllic world of lavish beauty struggles as a country ruled by a power-hungry Count toils under oppressive taxation. People mistrust each other, and especially those with magic -- for those carrying that 'gift' are in fact dying of some incurable disease. Here, there is exquisite joy and deep despair, a tale of love and betrayal, a world into which famed pianist Frederic Chopin found himself. Together with some of this world's varied and cherished inhabitants, including a doomed young girl and the boy who would fight to protect her, they seek to change the world for the better... But is it truly 'another world'? Or just the dreaming fantasies of one ailing composer's mind feverishly clinging to his final hours?
