Theme Description

Cardcaptor Sakura is the story of Sakura Kinomoto, a normal fourth-grader at Tomoeda Elementary. One day she finds a mysterious book called "The Clow," and from the book emerge 52 enchanted card spirits called Clow Cards. With the Clow Cards on the loose in town and causing trouble when they awaken, Sun Guardian Cereberos (aka Kero-chan) has no choice but to appoint young Sakura as Card Captor and help her set things right again. The series centers around Sakura's daily life as she interacts with her father and brother, her eccentric best friend Tomoyo, and the older boy of her dreams, Yukito. The only people who know of Sakura's card-capturing ways are Kero-chan, Tomoyo, and a mysterious boy named Li Syaoran who arrives from Hong Kong to claim Sakura's cards as his own. From the arrival of Li onwards, Sakura and Li serve both as rivals and reluctant friends as they face dangerous battles, funny situations and the horrors of adolescent love.
