Profile: The last of an elite military unit (SPARTAN II) of genetically engineered and cybernetically augmented humans with superior combat training, Master Chief is the best his world's Navy has to offer. The 117th child to be abducted for the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) SPARTAN Project, John was trained rigorously and given further genetic alterations and cybernetic augmentations. In his 27-year career, he has diligently served for the UNSC, with over 200 engagements and earning all Decorations save for the Prisoner of War Medal. After protecting the human race from extinction from the Covenant, infection from the Flood, and total annihilation from the activation of the Halo rings, Master Chief and his damaged AI companion, Cortana, were left drifting in space, until a Gate swallowed them and sent them to a new world. With Cortana's programming in bad shape and Master Chief disoriented from being knocked prematurely out of cryostasis, they join with the IPA as representatives of the United Nations Space Command and fellow affiliates of the Interplanar League.
